Use of NIN Mandatory For WASSCE 2022 Registration—WAEC

The use of National Identification Number NIN, will now be compulsory for all Students who will be registering for the forth coming West African Senior School Certificate Examinations WASSCE, for the 2022/2023 session.

According to the Head of WAEC Nigeria Office, Mr Patrick Areghan on Tuesday, August 10th ,2021 disclosed this to Newsmen while addressing the necessary steps that should be taken for adequate preparation of the 2021 WASSCE Examinations, which is scheduled to take place on the 16th of August, 2021 to 30th of September, 2021. nationwide.

In addition to reports, Mr Patrick said “I want to use this medium to announce the general public that as we continue to make some progress in the conduct of the WASSCE 2021 Examinations in Nigeria, the use of National Identification Number NIN, will now become a major requirement for registration for the WASSCE examination for School Candidates 2022.

He explained ,”This means that all prospective candidates must register with the National Identity Management Commission NIMC and get their NIN. This is in line with the Federal Government’s Policy, as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.

He warns, failure to register with NIN ,failure to take the Examinations as he titled in his speech “No NIN ,No Registration and No Entry.

Conclusively, he said “This will bring a smooth and credible registration processes for the betterment of the students and the public at large. He concludes.
